With the departure of the Fayetteville Force minor league hockey team, we lost our ice at the Crown Coliseum and we are not able to provide group lessons at this time. However, we still provide private lessons at the ice rink in the Cleland Multi-Purpose Sports Complex located on Fort Bragg. Contact our Director, Robin Harger, for more information.

Tots class package: $70.00
Basic Beginner/Pre Alpha : $90.00
Intermediate levels /Advanced class packages: $90.00
Balance and Stretch Class (1 hour): $35.00
Precision Team: $50-75 Monthly
Off Ice Training Class (1 hour): $5 (per class)

Skating Packages include: 6 lessons (meeting once a week), Skate rental and medical insurance. The Tots classes are only a 45 minute class due to the attention span of a 3 -5 year old. The price reflects the difference in the length of time of the class.

Balance and Stretch Class (1 hour) $35.00 (per semester)
Off Ice Training Class (1 hour) $5 (per class)

Precision Team

Age: 8-18, depending on team level
Number of Team Members: 8-24, depending on team level
Freestyle Level: FS-2 and above (taken less than 6 months of private or group lessons). Higher level teams require the equivalent of FS-4 and above.
Practice Hours: At least two days "off ice" and one day "on ice" training (exact times may vary). Check with the coaches for the times of practice.
Cost: $50-75 (monthly). Cost varies depending on the amount of ice time required (i.e., ice, coaching, etc.)
Continuing Requirements: Individual or group freestyle, moves in the field, private lessons, or power stroking.

We are interested in accommodating all skaters. Tryouts are for the purpose of assigning each skater to the appropriate level team.

General Information

Arrangements for the practice ice time must be made through the Ice Palace Skating Academy Office.

Dress: Skaters will find that gloves and a sweater or jacket will be needed. (A pair of gloves are required for the preschoolers.) Children will not enjoy themselves if they are cold. Clothes should keep you warm but also allow freedom of movement. Skaters should only wear one pair of socks - this allows for a better fit with the skate.

We recommend that you come at least a half hour before your first class so that we can check you in and make sure your skates fit properly.

In case of low enrollment, we reserve the right to combine or cancel classes if needed.

Some classes will have a limited enrollment, so register early.

No refunds will be given and no lessons will be carried over into another session. Twenty-five percent of your total is a non-refundable registration fee. The registration form, medical form, and release form can be downloaded from here, printed out and returned with your payment. You will need all three forms.
